Views & Dashboards
A view is a curated subset of your architecture graph, designed for a specific purpose. Views let you focus on what matters without losing the full context of the graph.
Creating a View
Click New View in the view selector at the top of the Explorer. Give it a title. Then add entities by selecting them in the entity browser or dragging them onto the canvas.
Static vs Dynamic Views
Manually curated. You choose exactly which entities appear. The view does not change unless you add or remove entities yourself. Best for stable, well-defined architecture diagrams.
Auto-expanding. Start with one or more seed entities, select which relationship types to follow, and set a hop depth (up to 3). The view automatically includes all entities reachable by those relationships. As your graph evolves, the view updates automatically.
Dashboard Mode
Open any view in Dashboard mode for a fullscreen, read-only presentation. Dashboard mode hides the editing UI and shows just the graph canvas with the view title. This is useful for:
- Presentations and screen-sharing with stakeholders
- Wall-mounted architecture dashboards
- Exporting clean screenshots
Access Dashboard mode via the view menu or navigate directly to /dashboard in your browser.
Per-View Display Options
Each view can have its own display settings independent of the project defaults. Configure layout algorithm, grouping strategy, icon style, label visibility, and other options from the view config panel. These settings are saved with the view.
